Gus Russo Releases Mexican Files

Author and researcher Gus Russo has made available some previously undisclosed documents that, unlike the much ballyhooed but mostly yawn inducing 2021 National Archives release, could really be useful to researchers.

The documents, which are in Spanish, are from the files of Mexico's intelligence services and were obtained by Russo through Mexican associates:

Once More ‘Round the Plaza

There is an excellent article on the upcoming JFK file releases at Washington Decoded by Robert Reynolds who is a professor at National Chi Nan University in Taiwan. Reynolds writes:

... it is also understandable that people might think there are still important documents left unreleased. A closer look at NARA’s latest data on the ARC, however, reveals just how unlikely this is.

Noteably, Reynolds also writes about the loudest media voice during the current (and previous) debate(s) regarding the files releases. Reynolds notes that:

Jefferson Morley, a former Washington Post journalist, cited [the DRE] file as an instance where “If and when they are released, these pages may shed light on the CIA cover-up that followed JFK’s murder.” This assertion makes no sense.
